Labor Day is celebrated on the first Monday in September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States. Labor Day is also called the “unofficial end of summer” because it marks the end of the summer season, and is celebrated with parties, street parades and sporting events.

First Friday festival– First Friday is a FREE community festival that takes place the first Friday of every month in downtown Las Vegas and the Arts District . The First Friday Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local arts and culture. September’s First Friday festival is on September 1, from 5pm-11pm.
