Fall is here, and Halloween is around the corner. The time to grab your apple cider donuts and pick some pumpkins is here.
Located on the north side of town, Gilcrease Orchard is 60 acres of agricultural land where you can visit and hand pick your own fruits and vegetables. This year Gilcrease Orchard will open their pumpkin patch September 28th. At this time through October 31st they will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm. Come early and beat the heat and the crowds.
Entrance to the Orchard is FREE and the wagon rides are also FREE! Gilcrease has wheelbarrows to carry pumpkins from the patch, and are first come first serve. Carmel apples, kettle corn, delicious apple & pear cider, hay rides and of course APPLE CIDER DONUTS will be available! They also have items for sale at the check out such as peanut butter and almond butter, kettle corn, and famous apple and pear cider.

I recommend going the the Gilcrease Pumpkin Patch early in the season rather than later. We went closer to Halloween last year and there were no pumpkins left to pick. The kids still loved running around, and getting some cider and donuts as well.
