First Friday is a FREE community festival that takes place the first Friday of every month starting at 5pm in downtown Las Vegas and the Arts District , located at 1025 S 1st St, Las Vegas, NV 89101. The First Friday Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local arts and culture.
The traditional crowded event has been postponed since Spring, but is coming back at limited capacity and by reservation. I haven’t yet found updated info for an event for December 2020.
First Friday has announced they are back and are holding a limited capacity, distanced event on Friday, November 6th. This event will be held in two separate pods and there are restrictions and procedures in place to be allowed entry.
The Art Walk pod will be open to all ages and features local artists and vendors of the traditional festival at Hoover and 3rd. St. The Food/Beer Garden pod will be 21+ and will be located in the Art Square Lot. They are taking precautions alongside City of Las Vegas government and are asking all attendees to RSVP here. Attendees are required to wear masks and are being asked to stay 6 feet apart from people not in your party.
Please read the RSVP link page fully, as all attendees will be required to follow the posted instructions here and at the event. Temperature checks will be taken at the gates and the capacity is limited to 250 people. Anyone experiencing any symptoms, or who has come into contact with anyone with symptoms, will not be allowed entry.
In a normal year, every first Friday of the month, the streets are closed to traffic for these epic block parties and locals and visitors alike can check out local art, restaurants, music and all sorts of entertainment. Each month you can enjoy local art & products, food trucks & tents, street performers, live music on two stages, the First Friday photo booth, and more! It sets the stage for the local art galleries and is vital to Las Vegas’ downtown revival.
Check out the shops and galleries on Charleston, like the Arts Factory, and the galleries on Main Street. Every year there is more new and exciting places to visit in the Arts District.
First Friday events are open to all ages, so bring the whole family. You can also reserve your parking space ahead of time at ParkWhiz. If you haven’t been downtown for this awesome event, you need to go. You can always expect a diverse crowd, cool local art and plenty of entertainment for everyone.
