The temperatures are hot here in the valley and many of us are in search of water and outdoor fun-especially if you have kiddos. There are lots of great ways to cool down in the desert heat, and this list of Splash Pads, Water Parks & Public Pools will help you find something cool to do near you.
Water Parks
We have two water parks here in Las Vegas, both are super great options for cooling down. They aren’t on the cheap side, but purchasing a season pass or going on discount days will save you money if your kids love it.
New this year, two epic parks, one season pass! Cowabunga Bay Henderson and (NEW) Cowabunga Canyon in Summerlin.
Cowabunga Bay located in Henderson is open on weekends now. This great water park features Water Slides, a Kids Cove (featuring free life jackets), a lazy river and a wave pool. Tickets run $49 and Adult Swim events are only $39.99. Single season passes begin at $99 for anyone above 3. You can get your season passes here. Check this calendar for dates they are open and exact hours, but the park is open now on weekends from 11am-5pm.
Cowabunga Canyon will open on the weekends beginning April 15th and is located at 7055 S. Fort Apache Rd. Tickets range from $49. You can get your season passes here. Check this calendar for dates they are open and exact hours. Cowabunga Canyon is the old Wet ‘n’ Wild location.

Splash Pads in Henderson– Available 9am-8pm through October 31st, and are completely Free. Most of the city’s splash pads are open for these dates.

Town Square- Children’s Park
Town Square Las Vegas Children’s Park is open daily. Lots of fun for children 10 years or younger. Located adjacent to Town Square Park, the NEW Children’s Park features a climbing cube, slides, a trampoline, and more. The splash park is open the same hours as the park.
The District at GVR
Splish-splash, jump around and make it a day of fun for the kids at The Splash Pad, located in The Courtyard. Children MUST be supervised at all times and water shoes MUST always be worn. For full Splash Pad rules, CLICK HERE.

I apologize for leaving out public pools near you. I have listed all of the pools that Clark County, the City of Las Vegas and the City of Henderson list on their website. I don’t live on the West Side, so unless I’m driving by there isn’t any way for me to know these public pools exist. If you would like to leave the names of pools I’ve missed in the comments, I’d be happy to search them and add their information. Thanks.
