It may have been a little while since any of us has been out to see a movie. This October, we can head to the West Wind Drive-In for 13 Nights of Fright- to scare us silly.
The West Wind Drive-In in North Las Vegas is now open following guidelines to ensure proper social distancing. The theater is a double feature Drive-In, often playing two shows back to back. Check the website for updated show times!
13 Nights of Fright Are Coming to West Wind Drive-Ins
Jump in the car and head down to West Wind Drive-Ins Monday, October 19 through Saturday, October 31 (Halloween) to get your scare on! They’re showing 13 nights of family-friendly frights, plus classic and popular horror movies! Check the website soon for a full calendar of movies and themed nights!

We know that Halloween is a time when people really go all out on decorations. While trick-or-treating may be a little different this year, the fun doesn’t have to stop. At the 13 Nights Of Fright film fest, West Wind wants you to show your Halloween spirit. Trick out your car to be scary, funny, silly, creative, terrifying or fun; bonus points for matching your costume to your vehicle’s theme! You can win Annual Drive-In passes, or 5 or 10 Carload Passes
To Enter: Take a photo of your decorated ride at the drive-in during our 13 Nights of Fright celebration (October 19-31, 2020) post to Facebook, Twitter, TikTok or Instagram and use the hashtag #WWTrickYourRide. You must be at the drive-in and use the hashtag during the 13 Nights of Fright film fest to be entered! Contest winners will be announced Nov. 1, 2020 through social media and this blog post.
Annual Pass is good for one person and one admission to West Wind Drive-Ins daily. A full list of contest rules is available at https://www.westwinddi.com/contest-rules.
Here are the safe operating guidelines West Wind Drive-In is currently following:
-The drive-in is accessible only to those in vehicles–for movies and A/V presentations only (e.g., worship services).
-Vehicles are spaced at least 10 feet apart (every other parking space).
-No one may leave their vehicle except to visit the restroom or snack bar.
-Access to the restroom is limited to 1 person (plus a minor child or a disabled companion) at a time. Restrooms are sanitized every 30 minutes.
-Social distancing signage is in place, and all of these restrictions are provided to drive-in customers upon entry.
The snack bar is now open, however masks and distancing will be used at all times. They are following all health and safety guidelines including:
- Condiments have been removed and are served pre-packaged with items purchased.
- Popcorn refills have been eliminated to avoid reusing and touching used buckets.
- Concession areas are cleaned and sanitized including counters, tables, chairs, and all kitchen equipment.
- Flatware is dispensed individually.
- All loose promotional materials and newspapers have been removed.
- All pens are sanitized after each use.
- Bottled beverages are available at all location.
Tuesday nights are family fun nights, with reduced ticket prices as well. Just $5.50 for 12 and up, and just $1.75 for 5-11 years. Regular admission is for 12 and up is $7.75, kids admission is the same and children 4 and under are always FREE.
West Wind has been family owned and operated from day one. They opened their first drive-in theatre in 1952 and today own and operate the largest drive-in theatre chain in the world with four in California, one in Arizona and two in Nevada. The North Las Vegas theater is located at 4150 W. Carrey Avenue.
