St. Patrick’s Day occurs annually on March 17 in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. What began as a religious feast day in the 17th century has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, and a whole lot of green. Here in Las Vegas, there are a number of local spots where you can get yourself a serving of Irish culture, foods and beer. Check out these events below and get ready for your green beers.
Ri Ra Paddyfest 2019– This festival runs all week long. Beginning Tuesday, March 12th, enjoy seven days of live music from the Crooked Jacks, authentic Irish fare and amazing drinks. On Saturday, March 16th, Ri Ra opens at 5:30am for the final day of the Six Nations Rugby Championship. The fun continues on Sunday, March 17th with live music late into the night, local dancers and bagpipes. See the link for the full entertainment schedule and special menu. Cabo Wabo Cantina – Friday, March 15th- Sunday, March 17th, the cantina is taking an irish twist on their menu combining Mexican and Irish ingredients, available St. Patrick’s Day weekend only. Join their parties on the outdoor patio overlooking the Strip, featured by a DJ on Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th from noon until 3 a.m. All draft beers will be served green on Sunday, March 17th, with prices starting at $7.
Hennessey’s Tavern– Friday, March 15th, begin your weekend with the St. Patrick’s Block Party and Music Fest here at Hennessey’s. Join them for green beer and shenanigans from the 15th-17th.
McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon– Located in Town Square, this Irish pub has a full weekend of drink specials in store for you this St. Patrick’s Day weekend. March 14th-16th, enjoy $4 Green Beer, $5 Irish Whiskey, $6 Guinness, and $7 Car Bombs. 6593 Las Vegas Blvd South Suite 222.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival– Join the Southern Nevada Sons and Daughters of Erin at the Henderson Events Plaza for an entire weekend of celebrating. There will be a carnival, festival and entertainment, admission to all is free. Carnival games and rides require the purchase of tickets. Hours are Friday, March 15th from 5pm-10pm, Saturday, the 16th from 10am-10pm, and Sunday the 17th from noon-7pm. The Bailiwick at The Orleans– Sumday, March 17th enjoy local artists from 5pm- 11pm. Enjoy celebratory cocktails and live entertainment from local artists. Featuring $14 Corned Beef & Cabbage, $5 Pints – Guinness Stout, Guinness Blonde, Smithwick’s, Killian’s Red, Harp Lager, and $5 Jameson® or Tullamore™ Dew Shots.
The Celtic Feis celebration–This celebration at NYNY Las Vegas Hotel & Casino will feature Irish bites from Nine Fine Irishmen, celebratory cocktails and live entertainment March 15th-17th. In it’s 10th year, enjoy festivities all weekend beginning with the Parade on Friday, March 15th. Starting at 2pm in the Park on the Mezzanine, winding through the casino and ending on the Brooklyn Bridge. Enjoy a second parade on Sunday, March 17th as well, beginning at 10:30am. The parade is complimentary and open to guests of all ages. Admission to other festivities starting at 11:00 a.m. will start at $10 and guests must be at least 21 years of age. New Vista’s Brews Best Craft Beer Festival– Join us to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin in Las Vegas, from 2pm-7pm. Celebrating its 12th year, Brew’s Best Craft Beer Festival is the longest running open-air beer festival in Southern Nevada. Attendees enjoy an afternoon of unlimited samplings from both local and national breweries, entertainment, activities and games. Tickets range from $30-$45 and can be purchased at Eventbrite. O’Sheas Block Party– Friday, March 15th-Sunday, March 17th this party kicks off Friday at 5pm with live bands, Saturday with bands at 3pm and 6pm. On St. Patrick’s Day, join the party in the LINQ Promenade with a parade at noon which will include leprechauns, beer trucks and live music. St. Patrick’s Weekend Celebration– The Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas celebrates St. Patty’s Weekend like no one else. This party runs Thursday, March 14th- Sunday, March 17th. Beginning at noon on March 17th, there will be 3 stages of free live music entertainment rocking until 3am on the 18th. Festivities will include authentic Irish entertainment, live tribute bands and lots of bars offering drink specials on St Patrick’s Day. At noon on St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll host the annual Las Vegas Firefighters Benefit Association St. Patrick’s Day march. Uniformed firefighters from across the country will join Las Vegas firefighters and bagpipers for a trek down Fremont Street. Check the link for the full entertainment schedule.
Sham-Rock the Park- St. Patrick’s Day Beerfest– Sunday, March 17th, 2pm-5pm, at the Downtown Container Park. Enjoy all you can drink beer tastings, live music and shenanigans. Tickets are $20 online, $25 at the door.
St. Patrick’s Day Party at the Plaza– Saturday March 16th, the St. Patrick’s Day Party at the Plaza will begin at 7pm-11pm under the dome with live music, drink specials and leprechauns! At 10:30pm, catch a uniquely green fireworks show! Check the link for a detailed schedule and drink specials.
