Holiday Gift Card Promotions

It’s time for holiday shopping and gift ideas, and gift cards are at the top of many people’s wish list this season.  This list of gift card promos can get you lots of bang for your buck.  Its always nice to get bonus gift cards for spending money you would spend anyway.  I’ll update as I find more, but be sure to subscribe for more holiday deals and events to come.

Got any birthdays early in the year?  Get them gift cards and grab yourself a bonus!

Most of the gift cards must be purchased by December 31, in order to receive the bonus — some promos end earlier, so check first.

In addition, some bonuses are available online or in-store only, while others are available either way. (For true savings, it’s better to buy the gift cards in-store, rather than pay any potential shipping charges.) However, always check first, especially if you’re ordering gift cards online. Once you hit the “buy” button, you may be out of luck.

Applebee’s– Buy $50 gift card, receive $10 bonus gift card.  Bonus card valid until 2/23/24.

Auntie Anne’s: Any amount ($5 or more) = FREE Pretzel Reward Card

Barnes & Noble – Earn a Free $10.00 Promotional Barnes & Noble Gift Card with purchase of $100.00 worth of Barnes & Noble Gift Cards in a single transaction. This offer can be redeemed only once per customer.  Your purchase must be made between November 1 and December 15.  You will receive the $10.00 promotional Barnes & Noble Gift Card via email to you on December 12, after making your purchase.  Promotional card does not expire.

Benihana– Spend $50 = $10 Promo Card.  Spend $200 = $60 promo card. Available through 12/31/2021, Promo card valid 1/2/2024- 3/31/2024.

BJ’s Restaurant– Give $50, get a $10 Bonus card,  or give $100, get a $25 Bonus card, plus a 20% off VIP Card. Bonus card valid through 1/29/2024.

Bonefish Grill- $50 = $10 off promotional card. PC valid 1/1/24- 2/11/24.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.– $50 = $10 Reward Card, GC valid through 5/31/24.

Buca di Beppo– Buy a $50 Gift Card before December 31, 2021 and receive a $10 reward card. Reward Cards are valid January 1, 2024 – Feb 29, 2024.

Buffalo Wild Wings – Spend $25, get a  $5 Blazin’ eBonus.  eBonus valid 1/1/24 until 2/29/24.  Limit 4 per person.

California Pizza Kitchen – Purchase $100 in gift cards through 12/31 and receive a $20 promotional card

Carraba’s– Buy $50 in Carrabba’s gift cards between November 1 and December 31 and get a FREE $10 bonus gift card for every $50 purchased.  Bonus gift card valid at next visit from 1/1/24 to 2/11/24 ONLY.

Children’s Place– Get a $10 Gift coupon with a gift card purchase of $50+ through December 25th.   Valid on a single transaction of an in-store or online gift card purchase of $40 or more, Dec 26- Jan 30, 2024.

Chili’s: Every $50 on gift cards purchased online = $10 e-Bonus.  Valid 1/1/24 through 2/13/24.

Claim Jumper– Restaurant Gift Card BOGO. Buy a $50 Claim Jumper gift card and receive a $10 Reward Card.  Promotional gift cards valid for redemption at any participating Landry’s Inc. restaurant in the US through 2/29/24.

Del Taco –Spend $30 = FREE small-sized combo meal / $100 = Four FREE small-sized combo meals. Expire 3/4/24. 

Denny’s: $25 = $5 bonus card through 12/26/22.  Bonus card valid 1/2/24 -3/31/24.

Einstein Bros. Bagels: Get $5 bonus card with every $25 gift card purchase.  One time use only. Bonus card is valid January 1, 2024 –February 29, 2024. 

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar: $100 = $20  Promotional Card valid 1/1/2024- 2/11/2024.

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse: $125 = $25 Holiday Bonus eCard,  $300 = $75 eCard,  and $400 = $100 eCard.  valid 1/2/24- 3/25/24.

Grimaldi’s Pizza– Grimaldi’s Holiday Bonus Offer. From now until Dec. 31st,  buy $50 in Grimaldi’s gift cards, receive a $10 bonus card for yourself.  Spend $100 in Grimaldi’s, get a $20 bonus card. Valid on traditional and e-gift cards.  Bonus cards expire 2/29/2024.

IHOP–  Get a FREE $5 bonus card when you buy a $25 gift card through 1/7/24.  It’s the perfect gift for everyone on your list. Bonus expires 2/25/24.

Jamba Juice: $25 = get $5 Bonus Card through Dec 25, 2023. Bonus valid 12/26/23 – 2/12/24.

Maggiano’s Little Italy: purchase $100 in gift cards = $20 eBonus Card valid 1/1/24 until 2/28/24.

Outback Steakhouse– Now until Dec. 31, Get a $10 e-Bonus card with every $50 Outback Steakhouse gift card purchased. Bonus card valid for redemption January 1 – February 11, 2024.

Panera Bread– For every $50 in Panera Bread Gift Cards purchased in cafe or reloaded through December 31, receive a free $10 bonus card. Bonus cards are valid for use online or in-cafe at participating bakery-cafes from 1/1/24-1/31/24.

P.F. Chang’s China Bistro: Purchase $100 online gift card purchase  = $25 Bonus Card, valid through 2/29/24.

Red Lobster: Spend $50 in Gift Cards = get two $10 off  bonus coupons through 1/7/24. First bonus coupon valid 1/8/24 – 1/31/24 and second bonus coupon valid 2/1/4-2/29/24, excluding 2/14/24. 

Red Robin– Free $5  Bonus Buck Reward for every $25 Red Robin Holiday Gift Card purchased.  A $5 minimum purchase is required when redeeming a Bonus Buck Reward.  Expiration dates are printed on the bonus bucks.

Regal Cinemas: $50 = $10 Concessions Bonus

Shake Shack – $25 = $5 Bonus Card

Smashburger: $25 = $5 Smash Cash redeemable 1/1- 2/29/24.

STK Steakhouse: $50 = $10 Dining Dollars / $100 = $25 Dining Dollars

The Cheesecake Factory: Receive one $15.00 Bonus Card for every $50.00 worth of Gift Cards purchased in a single transaction during the Promotion Period online at thecheesecakefactory.com. Bonus eCard is redeemable 1/1/24 – 2/29/24 when you dine in or order online for pickup.

Wendy’s: $3 Frosty Key Tag = FREE Jr. Frosty with any purchase in 2024. On sale now in stores and online. 

Remember, price and participation may vary by location. It’s also important to note that most (if not, all) of the offers are for “bonus cards” — not gift cards. Review the fine print for limitations, including minimum purchase requirements, date restrictions or menu exclusions first. Also, many businesses don’t allow you to combine multiple bonus cards in a single transaction. Plus, most (if not all) bonuses are not valid until Jan. 1, 2024.

Who says gift cards have to be gifts? If you have a favorite restaurant or merchant offering a gift card bonus, “pre-pay” for goods and services now…and “gift” yourself the bonus.

Plus, get more bonuses by breaking down a large purchase. For example, if the bonus is for a $25 (or more) gift card and you’re buying a $50 gift card, why not purchase two $25 gift cards in separate transactions instead? You just doubled your bonus.

However, many businesses give you a bonus for each gift card purchased at a specified amount (usually $25 or $50) — so there’s no need for multiple transactions.  As always, clarify first before purchasing, especially because gift cards are typically non-refundable.
