Yes, you read that right…RACE Dragon boats!!! 

The Rose Regatta Dragon Boat Festival is a unique Team Building Event in Las Vegas, NV where you rally 20 of your closest friends, coworkers, club, or competitive allies to team-up and race Dragon Boats!!  And it’s all in an effort to raise awareness and funds for local women and men in need of breast health services.

The 11th annual Dragon Boat festival and race takes place October 12th and 13th within the beautiful Lake Las Vegas Village at the Lake Las Vegas Marina. The venue is amazing!!! On Race day, you can expect Live music, race by race commentary, beer garden, several outdoor food carts…and lots of fun!  Please see their FAQ’s page for more race day information.

 

This highly-anticipated annual event raises funds for St. Rose Dominican Engelstad Foundation R.E.D. Rose Breast Cancer Program, which provides free clinical breast exams, mammograms, ultrasounds, surgical consultations and biopsies to women and men 49 and younger who lack adequate health care coverage or the financial means to obtain them.

 

All races are in Standard 20-man Champion Dragon Boats. Minimum of 14 paddlers are required to race, and a maximum of 20 paddlers on a boat. The Team Roster allows for 1 Drummer, 1 Steersman and 23 Paddlers. We give 25 medals for division winners.  Novice and experienced teams are welcome! Race Registration includes one complimentary dragon boat practice.

Corporate, Community and Jr Dragon Teams race on Saturday, and mixed and Women’s Club Teams race Saturday and Sunday.

Event hours are Saturday, October 12th from 8am-5pm, and Sunday, October 13th from 10am-1pm.  Event location will be Lake Las Vegas Marina, 10 Costa di Lago, Henderson, NV 89011.
