Do you feel like you need to get out of the bright lights and big city? Holmstead Ranch Resort is the perfect getaway just a short drive from Vegas.

Holmstead Ranch Resort is perfect for destination weddings, corporate retreats, or just for a relaxing weekend getaway with the family. The 11 beautiful cabins surrounding a man-made lake are the perfect backdrop to enjoy the outdoors. Holmstead Ranch offers swimming, fishing, paintballing, shotgun shooting, basketball, horseshoes, and a kids playground.
Each individual cabin can accommodate four guests and features a full kitchen and bathroom. Enjoy a campfire in one of the fire pits on property. Relax and take in the scenery from a rocking chair on your porch.
We stayed in the glamping cabins off the lake and they were perfect for our family of four. We had AC, a refrigerator, microwave and TV. The glamping cabins did not have their own bathrooms but there were plenty of the shared bathrooms available and they were very new and very clean.
There are several animals to view including horses, sheep, goats, llamas, donkeys and chickens for guests to see. Guests can drive golf carts while on property (seasonal), we even brought our own ATV to ride around the property (with approval of course).

The man-made lake has a small beach that my kids loved! There are tools to dig in the sand and paddle boards and kayaks to use. They did not want to leave that beach!
If it’s not beach weather right now, they may have snow, so be warned that you will probably need AWD/4WD to get to the ranch. You can check with them ahead of time, they are very responsive to questions.
They host many functions, from corporate events to weddings. You can hold your ceremony in the lush green of the fields, with your toes in the sand of the beach, or deep in the trees. They have a large pavilion, a perfect place for a formal dinner reception or a dance.
The retractable glass enclosures can offer as much or as little exposure to the elements as you desire. See their website for more pics and event details.

Only a short distance drive from the ranch to several great hiking trails including Snow Canyon State Park & Red Mountain trailhead. If you like golf, The Ledges Golf Club is a can’t miss course with spectacular views of Snow Canyon.
Holmstead Ranch Resort is about a 2.5 hour drive from Las Vegas. A pretty easy drive until you head back the ranch road, which is very steep on some parts. I would imagine it’s beautiful in the winter as well, but you want to check to see if you would need 4WD to get back there. You can visit their Facebook page for up to date events and details.
As you can see, this is a beautiful, quick, easy getaway- especially with kids. Maybe you’re not quite ready to take them tent camping, this is perfect. You can relax, get away, look at amazing scenery, and still have the comforts of home.
