As back-to-school fast approaches, there are plenty of school supply drives and giveaways happening across the Las Vegas valley. This list of Back to School events is for any child needing backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

Salvation Army– Apply online for help with school supplies. Keep in mind, Salvation Army will close the applications once they receive 500 applications.
Back to School Fair- East Las Vegas Library. –July 15th, 11am-2pm. There will be tables with various community organizations and fun activities for the whole family. Free books, school supplies, backpacks, free immunization, face painters, community partners, and a food truck will be available at the event.
AccelKids Back to School Pizza Party– Pearson Community Center- July 22nd, 12:30-2:30pm. Giving away 50 backpacks and other school supplies, activities, pizza, wings & more. Must RSVP— send kids names/ages to Dylan Richman via email at AccelKidz@gmail.com. (1625 W Carey Ave.)
Project 150- Free Back to School Shopping Event– July 24-29, 2023. By appointment only. For high school students only. ONLY Students will be permitted to shop in the Boutique. Students MUST have a valid high school ID or verification of current school year (2023/2024) infinite campus. No EXCEPTIONS. Select your date and time at the link. (3600 North Rancho Drive, 89130)
Back to School Giveaway- Neighborhood Recreation Center– July 29th, 10am- 1pm. All families with school-aged children welcome while supplies last. By City of North Las Vegas. (1638 N. Bruce St.)
Back to School Event- Victory Outreach East Las Vegas- July 29th, 2pm-4pm. Backpack giveaway, bounce house, puppet show, games, food, live music and more!
The Nevada National Guard and Youth Program– July 30th, 11am-2pm. *This event is open to military youth only and must be accompanied by an adult. Each youth will receive supplies to set them up for success in the school year. Location in NLV provided at registration.
Cox’s Back to School Fair- Cox’s Back to School Fair is described as a “school-readiness event.” It includes an immunization clinic and opportunities to ask representatives from the Clark County School District questions on registration, learning opportunities, and enrollment, among other topics.
The event will feature more than 30 booths, including those dedicated to CCSD and area non-profit organizations. A promotion is offered where the first 500 students at each event will receive a clear backpack. The giveaway is valid while supplies last.
The 2023 Cox Back to School Fairs will be at the following locations and times:
- THE BOULEVARD MALL- Saturday, July 15, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Immunizations will be available on-site.
- GALLERIA AT SUNSET- Saturday, July 22, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
- MEADOWS MALL- Saturday, July 29, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Immunizations will be available on-site.
- DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN- Saturday, August 5, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Lerner & Rowe Backpack & School supply giveaways– August 5, 2023, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. |Ruben P. Diaz Elementary. Lerner and Rowe’s law firms celebrate the next school year by hosting backpack and school supply giveaways. Make sure that you get there early to pick up your backpack before they are gone.
Backpacks will only be provided to school-aged children that attend one of the giveaways in person. Children must be present with an adult to collect a backpack. (4450 E Owens Ave., Las Vegas NV 89110)
Henderson Equality Center- Back to School Bookbag Giveaway– August 5th, 9am-Noon. Giving out 300 FREE backpacks with school supplies. Must be signed up with a Ticket, 1 Back Pack per Student, Must be picked up by 12pm other wise, Extra Bgas left over will be handed out to Walk Up’s. Reserve your spot at the link.
Back to School Community Resource Fair– Desert Breeze Community Center- August 5th, 10am-2pm. Free backpack with school supplies, hygiene products, haircuts, food & drink and more! (8275 Spring Mountain Rd.)
