Good news for all you sports fans missing the games. The NHL, NBA, and NFL are offering FREE streaming service for a limited time while everyone is home practicing their social distancing. Watch games from the previous seasons as well as classic games and special series that previously required a subscription. Here’s how to get your free sports streaming from the pro leagues.
NHL
The NHL is now giving hockey fans the binge-worthy content they need to stay sane during the coronavirus quarantine and isolation period. Watch all the VGK games you want from this past season and more!
From Friday, March 20 until April 30, fans will be able to watch full-game replays of the entire 2019-20 season so far. These games can be accessed directly on the scores and schedule pages at NHL.com, and at NHLLive.com.
They are also offering classic games and special broadcasts vailable to the public on both their website and YouTube channel. This includes original programming like the NHL’s ‘Road to the Winter Classic’ and ‘Behind the Glass.’
And you won’t have to already have an account, or use any codes to gain access to this content. Go Knights Go!
NBA
The National Basketball Association announced that the free sports streaming service NBA League Pass will be completely free for all fans until April 22.
The League Pass grants access to all regular season games aired in the currently suspended season, as well as last year’s season. You can also get access to a selection of “classic games” dating back to 1963.
To sign up, you do have to make an account, or log-in to one if you already have an NBA.com account. Then, on the subscription page, enter the code ‘WATCH30’ and that will allow you to complete your order, even without entering credit card information. Be patient as I’ve heard its taking a bit to get logged in, so they may be overwhelmed with people trying to get in to watch.
NFL
Football fans will also be able to access a number of features including full-game replays dating back to 2009, daily encore performances of notable games, condensed game replays, live coverage on NFL networks (so you can keep up with free agency movement), and access to original content such as Hard Knocks, and A Football Life.
There’s no log-in or account required, simply go to NFL.com/GamePass and start watching. Free access to NFL Game Pass will run until May 31.
