Are you like me, and bought a pricey DSLR camera, then never really properly learned how to use it? You’re in luck, because this holiday season, Nikon is giving the gift of free photography classes!
The brand has recently announced that its popular Nikon School Online classes will be available for free through the end of the year to help people capture and share the magical moments of the holidays and stay entertained while at home.
Nikon is releasing a new holiday-centric course – “Better Holiday Photos with Nikon Ambassadors” – which will allow families to step up their photography skills while celebrating the holidays at home this year. Taught by Nikon’s top creators, the new class will provide unique tips and creative techniques for getting in the spirit and capturing one-of-a-kind holiday cards to share with loved ones.
These classes from Nikon usually run between $15-$50, but during December, you can stream them all for free! Videos range between 16 minutes to over an hour. Some of the free photography classes focus on specific Nikon equipment, while others would be helpful with whatever camera you are shooting with.
Here are the classes offered:
- Better Holiday Photos featuring Nikon Ambassadors
- Creator’s Mindset: Creating video content with Z 50
- Getting started with your Nikon DSLR
- Photographing children and pets (wish I would have watched this about 6 years ago…)
- Hands-on with SB-5000 Speedlight
- Fundamentals of photography
- Environmental portraiture
- The art of making music videos
- Beyond the Fundamentals of photography
- Discovering macro photography
- Exploring dynamic landscape photography
Take advantage of this savings this month, especially if you have found yourself with some free time. Maybe you have a teen that is interested in photography? Go through the classes together.
It’s also a great refresher course for anyone that doesn’t get to use their camera regularly. I am guilty of that! I did take a course awhile back and learned so much, but (for me anyway), it’s not like riding a bike. If you don’t use it, you lose or forget it.
