We all know how healing music can be, and it’s clear we need music now more than ever. Thankfully, guitar manufacturer Fender is stepping in to give music fans three months of free guitar lessons to help pass the time in isolation.
Fender is offering three months of FREE guitar lessons, and also bass, and ukulele lessons so you can learn in lockdown. To sign up for the free guitar lessons, head to the Fender Play website and get your free code. If stringed instruments aren’t your thing, you can download one of the free synthesizer apps being offered by Moog and Korg.
Fender so far has been blown away by the overwhelming response to the 3-month offer for free guitar, bass and ukulele lessons. So, they are keeping it going and extending the offer to the first 500,000 who sign up for Fender Play. There’s no cost, and no catch. Just music.
Fender stated, “Whether it’s dusting off an old guitar, learning a new skill or entertaining tiny hands, Fender hopes offering Fender Play for free will reinforce the positive benefits that music has on the mind.”
You do have to create and account with an email, but there is no payment involved, so you won’t have to go back in and cancel in three months. They do ask you to pick a path-Rock, Folk, Blues, Country or Pop music, but you can change your path once you are in. There are also different levels, so if you’re not a complete novice, you can skip to higher levels as needed.
Learn to play on your phone, tablet, or computer. Offer only valid for new subscribers, not valid for current or past monthly or annual subscribers. Fender notes that you may have to disable your ad-blockers to get your code.
We’re all going to be spending more time inside – so we might as well make some noise. Time for me to dust off my old acoustic guitar and get playing!
