What is the meaning of Valentine’s Day? It can mean many different things for different people. Valentine’s Day is traditionally associated with red hearts, romance, flowers, candy or other sweet things, and the exchange of valentines, that express love.
Valentine’s Day also can mean spending lots of money. Just over half (52 percent) of U.S. adults plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, spending a total of $21.8 billion, according to the annual survey released today by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics.
Nearly three-quarters of consumers celebrating Valentine’s Day feel it is important to do so and to make it a special day. Those celebrating can still expect the classic candy, cards and flowers, or even an evening out.

The Lion Habitat Ranch would like to offer couples a safe avenue to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. On Saturday, February 17th & Sunday, February 18th, from 11am to 3pm, they will be hosting Valentine’s Day with the Lions, with themed activities during the normal general admission time slots all weekend long.
Valentine’s Day Horseback Ride– Surprise your date and Book a Valentines Day Horseback Ride! Group Horseback Riding Tour ( $75 per rider). You can add Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner to any tour, just add it when booking in the add on section.
Mob Museum 12th Anniversary– The Mob Museum will celebrate its 11th anniversary on, February 14th, 2024 (also Valentine’s Day) with FREE admission for NV residents with local ID, and Buy-One-Get-One for non-residents.
To commemorate the anniversary, step back in time with an exclusive showcase of the two Thompson submachine guns that were used in the infamous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre on February 14, 1929.
