Date Skate and more at the Ice Rink at the Cosmopolitan

Baby it’s Cold Outside!  It’s that time of year to head outdoors for some ice skating, hot cocoa and a classic Holiday movie on a giant screen.

The Ice Rink at the Cosmopolitan has lots of event options happening this season.  It sits high above the Las Vegas Strip and features a light snowfall every 30 minutes.  It will run this year from November 28- January 6, 2025. The Ice Rink was named one of USA Today‘s 10 Best Ice Skating Rinks in North America.

A fan favorite during the holidays, the Ice Rink at the Cosmopolitan returns for holiday family fun. Experience a winter wonderland above The Las Vegas Strip with ice skating, fire pits, warm cocktails, s’mores and breathtaking views. Lose yourself in a magical, park-like atmosphere surrounded by the glittering lights of Las Vegas.  Grab a friend, or even better, a date, and come out for Date Skate on Mondays and Tuesdays and see a classic Christmas movie as well.    

New this season is the Coca-Cola Holiday Bar.  Guests can enter a whimsical igloo ice bar serving classic Coca-Cola in special ice bottles dressed in knitted koozies or visit the Coke Floats station to try the sweet treat complete with an array of delicious toppings. Located at the north corner of the deck, the village will be open on select dates from 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Light snow showers happen every 30 minutes during select times throughout the season.

Date Skate at the Ice Rink

Enjoy a movie night under the stars during Date Skate every Monday and Tuesday from December 2 – January 6, 2024.  Movies begin at 6:30pm.   The Date Skate movie schedule has not been announced just yet. 

Special Events at the Ice Rink

Tree Lighting Ceremony–  December 1, 2024.  Enjoy the lighting of the tree hosted by Chelsea Handler.

New Year’s Eve 2024– Experience a New Year’s Eve fireworks watching celebration at The Ice Rink. Complete with unmatched views of The Las Vegas Strip, an open bar, a DJ and a champagne toast at midnight.  Details for the 2024 celebration have not yet been released.

Holiday Extended Hours

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day | 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
New Year’s Eve | 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Entry to the Ice Rink area is complimentary.  Ice skating admission includes all-day skating access and skate rentals.  You may also bring your own skates.  Skate rental is $30 or $20 for locals, military, and hotel guests( limit 4 guests per room) Mon-Thurs.  Kids Skate-aid is $15 for 60 minute rental. Advanced reservations must be made for fire pits at the Ice Rink, for up to 6 people. You must call for fire pit reservations over 6 people.
